Haven for Artists

OneFiveEight would like to introduce Haven for Artists, a collective from Beirut with a similar ethos to our own. We endeavour to help promote creativity and form bonds between like minded artists across the globe. Please take the time to find out more about the collective, and get in touch with them for potential placement or collaboration opportunities.

Haven for Artists

What is Haven for Artists?

Haven for Artists is an NGO non-governmental organization and arts collective based in Beirut, Lebanon. Haven aims to endorse, encourage and expose the modern underground art scene of Lebanon and the Middle East. Haven for Artists acts as a network for a variety of local and regional artists, with the purpose of providing the necessary resources to forge creative collaborations and develop a community of artists; a community for the arts, by the arts.

The Haven House Residency program is offered to local, regional and international artists from all walks and mediums, with a project or idea they wish to make tangible.

Haven began as a pop-up concept arranging impromptu art gatherings. Haven has since grown into a community network of artists, stakeholders and free thinkers, creating large scale, prestigious exhibitions and events, festivals, workshops and of course, still hosting some of the best parties in Beirut! To this day, Haven has hosted 40 art gatherings, 2 festivals and 120 jam sessions around Beirut and its suburbs catering to artists from all around the globe, providing exposure, logistical and creative support to all artists hosted on the Haven stage.

Haven for Artists’ most recent curation was titled ‘Radical: Choix Et Consequences’, an extensive one-month long exhibition at the French Institute of Lebanon. 27 artists from various backgrounds and disciplines produced art for this event, including visual art, performance art, film and much more. Collaborate with Haven

Haven for Artists is currently looking for collaborators and partnerships around the world.
We aim to exchange Middle Eastern artists with the European artists, in-order to give them the opportunity of cultural exchange, networking and collaboration.
