Massively Im-preston

There was only so many times that i could be made to smile like a proud father at the standards being laid down by some of Prestons homegrown musicians and producers. So i selected a couple of my favorites to share with ya’ll because i know you’ll know what i mean.

Check out The Tone Of The Number 5’s (aka Paul Rice) take on droned out, ethereal hip hop and 2 step. With a nod to the likes of BoC and Burial, Rice’s style creates vivid imagery through the heavy atmospheres, get it on your ipod here and take a stroll round town on a rainy day…

Another dude causing a stir in Preston and beyond is a producer named edleigh. Mr. leigh seems to realise the importance of honing down the key attributes of your style as a producer, each of his tracks is full of unique character and more importantly serious grooves! check it…

Having worked closely with Cameron Crook its easy for me to share my appreciation for his solo ‘ramshackle’ electronic projects. Even still there is no denying that Crook can make you nod with a uplifting chord progression sitting on a textured bed of bass and found sounds. Something new from Cam that exemplifies all he’s about…

and lastly here’s a new track from ‘Other Channels’ a brand spanking new side project of Mr Timothy Crompton and myself. As one fo the first tracks we finished this track hasn’t made the short list for our new e.p. due out around summer time so we put it on Soundcloud for free download

All our love,

PTown…
