Samina is a visual artist from Manchester. She works with an abundance of media ranging from body painting, animation and illustration, to film making. She intertwines these visual elements to form a distinctive look to her work.
A collection of her short films were played at Outlook festival in 2009. After sharing them with a VJ whom was already playing, she was given the opportunity to exhibit at the festival in Croatia. She was then invited back a year later to play as a VJ at the festival. After being spotted by some local Manchester DJs she found her place in the VJing world and went on to work for some of the most prestigious events and sound systems in the area. These include PARKLIFE FESTIVAL, HIT AND RUN, WAREHOUSE PROJECT and HERBAL SESSIONS. Proud of the response she has received with her films Samina is ever more eager to create a niche that personifies her practice.
